While being able to “work from roam” has given me a lot of flexibility to travel, I often wonder what it would be like to travel full-time (no emails to answers, to phone calls to make and no conference calls to log into). This week, I sat down with solo traveler, Irma Clement, to discuss what life has been like since she left her career as a Tax Attorney 12 years ago to explore the world. After encountering a 45 year old retired entrepreneur (a clown) while on vacation in Hawaii, Irma decided to save her money and invest so that she could create a life where she could spend 30 days vacationing in Cambodia, before venturing off to Greece for a month of fun in the Mediterranean sun. Irma breaks down how sometimes it pays off to ignore the naysayers when researching new places to discover, allowing yourself to “be open” to new experiences while traveling and how a smile is the universal language.
